What Is Meant For Harm Is Turned Around For The Good!

I had an amazing day today!

My son and I went to Times Square, in New York City, to check out my billboard feature on Broadway near 46th Street.

It was amazing to see my picture, with my book “Food Addiction: The Struggle Has Been Real,” on a billboard in Manhattan, wow!

But it wasn’t always this way.

I went through many trials and tribulations before gaining the right knowledge to make much better choices, in order to live victoriously.

It started at my birth when words were said to me that charted the course of my life. Those words were “what an ugly thing this is.” Of course, the words were not meant, but they got in my spirit. And back then, no one knew the importance of our words, that what we say is what we get, so nothing was done about it, nothing was done to correct those words. The Word of God says, “we perish for lack of knowledge.”

Because those words were in my spirit, when I was a teenager, I thought I was ugly, and at some point added that I thought I was fat.

With the charting of my life based on the words, I ended up being in a mentally abusive relationship that started at the beginning where he was trying to change me. But, back then, due to lack of knowledge, I thought it was a good thing, that he was trying to help me and look out for me.

In the relationship, I was called wotless, I was told the other woman is better than me, I was persecuted, rejected, and abandoned all by my former husband.

I was so broken and in that brokenness, I developed emotional eating, that progressed to food addiction, yes, there is such a thing.

I was made to think there was nothing good about me, I was of no value being me, being my true authentic self. All of this added to more brokenness.

Fast forward… Even though all the harm was done, I was so broken, stuck, and living in mediocrity, I overcame, I live victoriously, and I continue to rise above my circumstances; the turn around for the good. I rose to the point that I’m on a billboard on Broadway in Times Square, New York City, wow!

Here are 3 things I did to rise:

1) Sought the right knowledge.

2) Did something different.

3) Created new norms.
