Stuck Is Not Your Story: Explanation of Stuck

Stuck describes something that's frozen or fixed in one place and can't be moved. Stuck means you aren't going anywhere. Unable to move forward.

The opposite of stuck is unbound, detached, unstuck, undone, unperplexed, unfastened, freed, yielding, aware, unattached.

Some other words used for stuck are: cling, remain, stay, linger, dwell, persist, continue, last, endure.

Being stuck comes in different ways, a person can be, nostalgic, living in the past and stuck in the past.

You can tell when someone is living and stuck in the past by what they talk about and the spirit they are saying it in.

If inner healing doesn’t take place, people remain stuck living in the past.

I know a lady that was stuck and living in the past for many, many years. Let’s call her Neeron.

Neeron was raised in a large family where her parents had favorites.

Neeron was given lots of responsibilities at a young age that gave her parents the freeness that she should have had as a child. So she didn’t have the normal childhood that she should have had. Her parents didn’t know that she was not happy, and they didn’t know the pain of her childhood. However, you could tell this by how she spoke about the issues that began in childhood, and also the spirit she was saying it in. You could hear the hurt, anger, and bitterness.

When Neeron became an adult, she got married and had children, but her husband abandoned her. Another blow to Neeron that was never dealt with that was added to the already hurt from her childhood. To top is off, she had to raise her children alone.

Neeron left her home country and remarried. Her husband didn’t abandon her, but he made choices that hurt her badly. More things that were never dealt with that added more to her unhappiness and being stuck. If she knew how to deal with the internal issues, she would have been unstuck and lived the happy life she should have been living.

Neeron was never happy even though you would never know it because she acted like everything was okay, but her actions showed that she was not okay.

She lived life, kept moving forward, but was not happy, was not joyful, was not peaceful, was not living a truly victorious life. She traveled around the world, lived a lavish life, had the best of things, but was never truly happy because she was stuck.

Years later, Neeron was still not happy because all of the things that happened to her that were never dealt with. This is why she was stuck in the past. Everything that happened was just adding layers and layers to her unhappiness and being stuck in the past.

If Neeron had dealt with the issues, dealt with each instance instead of them being piled on and on and on over the years, she would have gotten over the hurt and would not have been living and stuck in the past.

It is important to know that you can get help to heal from the past. We all have had horrible things happen to us, but unless we seek the help to be healed, we will remain living in the past and stay stuck.

I encourage you to analyze and evaluate your life to see where you stand in regards to living in the past and being stuck, and depending on the outcome of your evaluation, take steps to be healed and move on from the past.

“There is always hope to become unstuck!”
